a few months ago i was astounded when alex slobzheninov invited me to work on a poster for 470 (!) fonts. his font family "right" consists of 6 sub-families (grotesk, gothic, sans, didone, serif & slab) with many styles and a lot of flexibility, and it needed a way to explain how big it was.

i felt that for such a huge family, some kind of nexus was needed, and so the metaphor of plastic model kits came to mind, where many different parts from one set are held on a common frame. i spent a lot of time (and pleasure!) looking at plastic nodes and parts to incorporate into the poster.
